Back to the hospital...

On Friday, we had to take him back to the hospital becasue he was jaundice, which is very common. At the time, I thought my heart would break seeing him in the incubator with all those lights on him.

The up side was he got to wear these sassy "shades".

Jenny VP had planned a short visit before I realized he was going to be early. So instead of her seeing a fat pregnant lady, she got to hold this precious boy. (However, she had to come to the hospital to do it and drive Thor's truck. God bless her!)

So Small

I wasn't used to holding such a small baby. All the babies in my family were bigger than this. He fit in the palm of our hands.

1st Walk with Dad

Thor waited 9 months to be able to take this little guy for a walk. He barely fit in the stroller. We had to pack it blankets so he didn't slip out.

1st Bath

As you can see, he was not so into the bath idea. However, by the end he decided to quite fighting it and just sleep it off. Notice the high tech bathing tub we used? He was too small to use a baby bath tub, we had to use this instead.

In the begining...

Well, I have finally figured out how to do this. My hope is to give you the opportunity to watch our little boy grow with us. We all live so far away from each other, it is nice to have tools like this to share our lives.

We call Soren Gus quite a bit. That is what we called him my whole pregnancy, but when he was born he just didn't look like an Augustine so we named him Soren. However, we still like Gus as a nick name. The kid is going to be so confused.

Gus is now 17 weeks old. I am going to post some pictures from the very begining so you can see how much he has already grown. My goal is to post at least once a week with new pictures for everyone. Please feel free to post your thoughts too. It is really amazing to see this little guy develop!

Much love to all,
Michelle, Thor and Soren
